Account Executive

Note: This position is one involving safety-sensitive job duties.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Executive is responsible for establishing new client relationships through cold calling and networking to sell telecommunications services and products while also providing excellent customer service support for existing customers of the company.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Identify, contact, and build new client relationships with prospective customers through a combination of telephone and in-person cold calling, networking, and referrals to obtain appointments.

• Selling telecommunications services, circuits, and hosting, consultative solution sales.

• Prepare sales information for customers.

• Provide excellent customer service by developing and maintaining long-term relationships within a diverse account base.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

• BS or equivalent industry experience, 5+ years of sales experience typically in telecom or a technical field.

• Understanding of basic networking and telephony technology concepts: networking, DSL, VPNs, routers, T1s, WANs, Wireless, etc. (Previous training and or certifications in technical sales a plus.)

• Aggressive, sales-oriented attitude.

• Must possess a strong drive to win new business.

• Excellent sales skills: working existing contracts, qualifying, presenting and closing.

• Solid knowledge of and or background in data and telecommunications sales.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required to assess needs, compose proposals and routine letters, and maintain influential relationships at all levels within BTC and customer organizations.

• Strong negotiating skills.

• Experience selling consultative solutions a plus.

• Motivated, disciplined and self-starter is a must.

LICENSE

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License required.
